In the past, the tower was used by the monks of the Abbey of San Michele Arcangelo as a guesthouse for pilgrims arriving in Badia a Passignano, in the heart of the Chianti region. Over the centuries many remarkable historical figures visited the abbey and its surroundings.
For this reason, the five rooms of Torre di Badia are dedicated to some of the most important personalities connected to these places.
San Giovanni Gualberto, Santa Caterina da Siena, Il Ghirlandaio, Il Passignano and Galileo Galilei are the names of our rooms. Each room has its own character and unique features.
The rooms vary in size, from 18 to 50 square meters, and differ in layout, furnishings, views and comfort.
In every room guests will find a small panel with a historical image of the personality it is dedicated to, together with a short biography explaining their connection to this area of Tuscany.
Choosing the best one is not easy… perhaps the only way is to try them all.
